The Proposal: Matthew proposed to me (Haley) on a family skiing trip in March 2016. We were at Steamboat Springs, Colorado, when we had a date night planned at Saddleback Ranch. When we showed up, Matthew had planned for a red sleigh to bring us through the snowy hills, and it was gorgeous. When the rancher pulled up to an alpine building for dinner, Matthew got down on one knee in the snow and asked me to marry him. I couldn’t say yes fast enough!
The Dress: I have always loved lace wedding gowns, but never thought I would have chosen the style I did. The off-the-shoulder lace sleeves and the deep back were the perfect touches. It is an Allure gown, but I had a rhinestone belt added to the waist.
Favorite Moment: Our wedding ceremony was in the evening, so when our reception came, so did the beautiful sunset. The reception was held in a tent outside similar to the movie Father of the Bride. It was the perfect setting as we walked in to share our first dance with close friends and family. Our first dance song was “I Get to Love You” by Ruelle.
Favorite Details: Our wedding venue looked more like Seaside than Montgomery, so naturally our summer wedding was filled with pastel pinks from the flowers to the bridesmaid dresses. The florals were filled with roses, hydrangeas and peonies.
