Moonlight Movies

June 5, July 17 | 6-8 p.m.

The Vestavia City Center will be hosting two movie nights on the green, and everyone is invited to attend! Join attendees for a showing of “Luca” on Thursday, June 5 and “The Secret Life of Pets” on Thursday, July 17. While these viewings are free and open to the public, attendees are advised to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs to use during the events. Summer Worship Nights

Vestavia Hills Methodist Church

Vestavia Hills Methodist Church is hosting a community dinner and worship event on the second Wednesday of each month this summer. On June 11, event attendees will share a meal—a low country boil for adults, flatbread pizzas for kids and Unless U Scoops for dessert. Afterwards, gatherers will head inside for a night of worship. On July 9, ballpark food such as burgers and hotdogs will be served. Then on Aug. 6,  attendees will receive boxed dinners and can partake in blessing and praying over backpack donations for local students, as there will be live music on the patio. The dinner cost for each event is $10 for adults, $5 for children or $30 for families. For more information or to register, click here.

Gross Out Camp

Gross Out Camps are award-winning science camps put on by the Birmingham-based nonprofit, Fresh Air Family, nearly every week in June and July across the state of Alabama. With 64 camps across 22 different locations, Gross Out Camps are designed to get kids outdoors, helping them to enjoy nature, learn about Alabama biodiversity and even conduct some fun science experiments, too. I Love America Night

I Love America Night is back again this June, featuring free swimming at the aquatic complex, sponsor booths, games, arts and crafts, live entertainment and a grand finale that includes a  fireworks display! This event is free and open to the public. There will be concession stands open for attendees to purchase food and drinks. Be sure to arrive soon because parking is limited.
