1. Fall Fashion Show

Come see the latest fall fashions modeled over lunch at this event presented by PNC and benefitting Vestavia City Schools Foundation. The foundation provides ongoing and dependable funding for critical academic “extras” such as professional development, technology and classroom enhancements for every grade level, every academic subject area and every student in Vestavia City Schools. 2. Vestavia Hills Community Night Out

Join the Vestavia Hills Police and Fire departments for a night of fun and demonstrations. Kids can enjoy inflatables and a fire fighter obstacle course, and there will be live music, free food and a mugshot photo booth. Pets are welcome too!
3. Cahaba Fitness Crawl
Saturday, Oct. 6 | 8:30 a.m.
Starts at Fig Tree Café
Work out at three different fitness studios while discovering the Cahaba Heights neighborhood by foot—DJ’ed music included. There will be a CrossFit workout at CrossFit Mudtown, pilates Reformer exercises at Club Pilates, a low-impact workout that lengthens and tones the muscles at True40, and running or walking about 1.5 miles total between locations. 4. Eat Roll Rebel

Vestavia Hills High School
Calling all kickball and cornhole fans! Participate in this tournament to raise money for Vestavia Hills High School. Plus find vendors and activities, food and drinks, and live entertainment. 5. Rebels Varsity Football Games
Here’s to hoping the Rebels have some playoff games scheduled come November. Don your red and blue, and we’ll see you at Thompson Reynolds Stadium. All games start at 7 p.m.

Get a taste of area restaurants’ finest and try fine wines—all with a “scary” theme. The event is presented by the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce and benefits the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Tickets go on sale Oct. 1. 9. Spooktacular

Library in the Forest
The children’s librarian will be telling “spooky” stories on the trail in the woods behind the library, and kids of all ages can take part in sing-along with the Ghoulish Gals, make crafts, play games, eat snacks and enter a costume contest.
10. Library in the Forest Storybook 5K
Saturday, Oct. 27
8 a.m. 5K, 9 a.m. Fun Run
Vestavia Hills City Hall
Dress as your favorite storybook character and get ready for a run and fun. After-race festivities will feature live music, a bouncy house, appearances by storybook characters and ballet dancers, food and drinks. It all benefits Children’s Department of the Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest and is hosted by the Junior Board of the Vestavia Hills Library Foundation.
