HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
We met while we were students at Auburn University.
THE PROPOSAL
Daniel proposed to me at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, when I took a trip to visit him over Labor Day weekend. He is an officer in the U.S. Navy and was in training at Naval Station Norfolk for a few months at the time. He surprised me, when he dropped to a knee while we were walking through the gardens. Then, he took me to a surprise dinner at the top of a nice restaurant overlooking the beach.
PREPARING FOR MARRIAGE
We did premarital counseling through our church to prepare. We were mentored by an older couple with years of marriage under their belts. We loved getting to learn from them and soak up advice they offered.
WEDDING MOMENTS
We both loved having all of our friends and family together in one place to celebrate. This does not happen often, so it was truly a special day.
