HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
Dylan and I met while in pharmacy school at Samford University. We coincidentally sat beside each other during class at the beginning of our third year in 2019 and became friends playing intramural sports together. Soon after, we realized we were perfect together, and everything fell into place.
THE PROPOSAL
Along with my family and closest friends, Dylan planned the most amazing proposal! We were heading to what I thought was a New Year’s Eve party at one of my favorite houses in my hometown of Brewton, Alabama. After arriving, Dylan led me to a beautiful setup with candles and lighted marquee letters spelling out, “marry me.” He got down on one knee, popped the question and all of our favorite people ran out to congratulate us. We spent the rest of the night on “cloud nine” at the most special engagement party.
WEDDING DRESS DETAILS
I wanted something that was both timeless and modern, and I got just that in my wedding gown. The boning and lace in my dress is what set it apart from others and made me fall in love with it. The bridal consultants at Bella’s Bridal and Formal helped me make a few changes to the original dress to make it absolute perfection.
WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE
Start as early as possible, and get a wedding planner if you can. Being able to get the vendors you want puts your mind at ease, and I cannot say enough good things about having a wedding planner and having a photographer you’re comfortable with. Eleanor Stenner was the biggest help with getting everyone in order and making us look our best. Symone Shaw went above and beyond, making sure everything was perfect.
