I always knew that I wanted to have my wedding reception in my parent’s backyard.

While I was away, Ben set up the dock with string lights and champagne. When I came back, he immediately got me from the car and walked me down to the dock where he had prepared a letter, ultimately asking me to marry him by “swiping right.”

We were so excited to finally be married after months of planning, postponing and replanning. As we arrived, God painted the most beautiful sunset ever to remind us of His gifts and blessings.

My favorite moment from was seeing Hampton for the first time when we did our first look by the river.

Four months after we started dating, William joined the Army and left for basic training. I wrote him a letter every day that he was gone.

The day before the wedding, the caterpillars hatched, and just before our rehearsal in the backyard, Derek and I got to release them into the world. It was magical!
