I always knew that I wanted to have my wedding reception in my parent’s backyard.

While I was away, Ben set up the dock with string lights and champagne. When I came back, he immediately got me from the car and walked me down to the dock where he had prepared a letter, ultimately asking me to marry him by “swiping right.”

We were so excited to finally be married after months of planning, postponing and replanning. As we arrived, God painted the most beautiful sunset ever to remind us of His gifts and blessings.

My favorite moment from was seeing Hampton for the first time when we did our first look by the river.

Four months after we started dating, William joined the Army and left for basic training. I wrote him a letter every day that he was gone.

The day before the wedding, the caterpillars hatched, and just before our rehearsal in the backyard, Derek and I got to release them into the world. It was magical!

Little to my knowledge, I was dressed in an all grey sweatsuit, due to the weather, when I met my future husband.

Joe and I (Claire) met sophomore year at Vestavia High School when we were class officers together, and we started dating later that year.

Meg was happily on her way to planning the wedding of her dreams, when COVID-19 completely upended the plans.
