How did you two meet?

Reed and I both pursued our respective sports at Wofford College. We both found ourselves in a class called Taste of Chocolate for our January interim. We had mutual friends who encouraged us to meet, and our connection continued to grow during our class and continued on afterwards. I knew there was something special from the moment I met him because of his ability to make me feel so comfortable.

The Proposal

We had been dating for about five years, so I knew the question was going to be coming soon. My mom told me that I needed to get dressed up, so we could go run some errands before meeting for dinner. She told me she wanted to drive up on Vestavia Drive to look at spots for “potential” engagement pictures sometime in the future. Once we drove up, she began to slow down, and I looked out the window and saw Reed standing there. It was the easiest “yes” ever!

Favorite Wedding Moment

My favorite moment from the wedding was when we were leaving the church. We were finally married and getting to see all of the people that love us the most was wonderful. There was just so much joy between the two of us, and you could feel that love and joy radiating throughout the entire cathedral.

Favorite Wedding Details

I absolutely loved my florals, which were done by the Paper and Petal Co. They were classic and simple just like I had imagined. I also loved having a dress change from a ceremony gown to a reception gown. It was a fun surprise when we entered when everyone saw that I had changed.
