Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest
The Vestavia Hills Library in the Forest is celebrating Black History Month with two movie showings honoring African American heroes. On Thursday, Feb. 6, the library will host a viewing of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and on Thursday, Feb. 13, patrons can visit the library for a showing of Red Tails. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunches, but popcorn and drinks will be provided by library staff. Learn more here.
The Legacy Gala

Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum
Patrons are invited to “laissez les bons temps rouler,” and join in fellowship for the Amanda Pair Foundation’s Second Annual Legacy Gala. This ball honors the life and legacy of Liberty Park resident Amanda Pair, who lost her battle to lung cancer despite being a non-smoker in June 2022. Salsa Dancing

Bring a friend or a date and join Salsa Birmingham for a fun morning of electric salsa dancing! This entertaining, family-oriented class is both educational and open to all ages. The class will conclude with a Spanish-inspired lunch. There is no entry fee to join, and participants do not have to register, either. Learn more here.
Pinkies Up Tea Party

Vestavia Hills Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall
Benefiting the Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Program at UAB, the annual Pinkies Up Tea Party is the first of many RISE events occurring this spring that involve Vestavia Hills students fundraising for cancer research and awareness. Young girls are invited to dress up in their favorite princess costumes for a delightful tea party complete with face-painting, crafts, dancing and a sing-a-long, too. Parents, be advised that tickets are $10 per child and can be purchased in advance here.
Unless U Got Talent
Saturday, Feb. 22 | 6:30 p.m.
The Lyric Theatre
The Unless U Got Talent competition is back again this year! Previous years’ shows have featured game shows, bodybuilding competitions, square dancing, gospel choirs and more! Unless U students and passionate locals are partnering together to put on fantastic performances, and all are invited to attend. Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased here. Proceeds benefit Unless U.
