1. Vestavia Hills Dogwood Luncheon

This annual event features a silent auction, which will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the luncheon will follow at 11:30 a.m. Alabama-based entrepreneur and bridal designer Heidi Elnora will be this year’s keynote speaker. A Savannah College of Art and Design alumna, Heidi first made her debut on t.v. as a contestant on the second season of Project Runway and later starred in her own show, Bride By Design, on the TLC network. 2. Egg Eggstravaganza

Friday, April 7 | 11 a.m.
Wald Park

This family-friendly event invites children ages 6 and under to partake in a relaxed, non-competitive Easter egg hunt at the park. Children can also expect visits from the Easter bunny and animals in the petting zoo, too. Bring your Easter baskets and arrive early!

3. Battle of the Bands

Saturday, April 8 | 5-9 p.m.
Rocky Ridge Business District

The Rocky Ridge Entertainment District will host the fourth annual Battle of the Bands competition at Rocky Ridge Plaza. This live competition will feature bands from local middle schools and high schools competing for a prize of $2,000. Bands are judged on musicianship, showmanship and creativity. Musicians will play three-to-four sets, and the winners will be announced at the end. Stay up to date on this event here 

4. Vestavia Hills High School Rise Day

Saturday, April 15 | 4-10 p.m.
Vestavia Hills High School

This family-friendly, community-wide festival celebrates all the hard work that RISE students have done to raise money for local charities. This event will have live music, games and a luminary ceremony to conclude the event to honor those who have battled against cancer. 

5. Wing Ding

Saturday, April 22 | 4-7 p.m.
Vestavia Hills City Hall

Brought to you by Leadership Vestavia Hills, this competition will feature local businesses cooking up great wings to serve to the public. They will compete for the gold and fill your bellies, too! Tickets are $10 at the gate or $8 in advance. Patrons can also pay $5 at the gate when they donate to the Leadership Vestavia Hills Hunger Project. Children ages 10 and under get in free. 6. Heights Hangout

Sunday, April 30 | 2-7 p.m.
Heights Village

Enjoy live entertainment, games, local vendors’ wares, inflatables and more at this annual celebration of the Cahaba Heights community! Tickets are $10 at the gate and proceeds benefit the Beautification of Cahaba Heights through the Cahaba Heights Merchants Association.
