Things slow down in January, but we found some fun events even in frigid temperatures and some dates to save for this spring too.
1. Escape Room for Teens

It’s time to see if you can breakout during our next escape room! Snacks will be served at this event for teens in grades 6-12.
2. OLLI Presents – Birding in Costa Rica
Jan. 16 | 1:30-3 p.m.

Instructor Dwight Lamont will speak about the spectacular birds of Costa Rica as a part of this Osher Lifelong Learning Institute program.
3. Family Night- Snowtastic!
Jan. 20

All ages are invited to come watch a character play and then play in a snowy wonderland outside in the amphitheater. Dress for outside, as most of the program will be outdoors, weather permitting.
4. Friends of the Library Fundraiser – Dolores Hydock

The Friends of the Library are kicking off the new year with a fundraiser featuring celebrated storyteller Dolores Hydock. 5. College Knowledge for Teens

Need a little help navigating the college admissions labyrinth? Join Rebecca Rutsky, a college counselor at ASFA, as she discusses how to find a good college fit for you & your budget, while minimizing your stress. No registration is required. Teens in grades 8-12 and their parents are invited.

Christian author and Bible study author Lysa TerKeurst is coming to town with recording artist Ellie Holcomb! 2. Wing Ding 2020
April 4 | 4-7 p.m.
Vestavia Hills City Hall
Get ready to eat wings and more wings at this annual Leadership Vestavia Hills event, and there will be live music and a kids zone too. All proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Association, and the event is currently looking for sponsors. Find more details on their Facebook page.
