1. Vestavia Hills Community Night

Brought to patrons by the Vestavia Hills Police Department, Vestavia Hills Fire Department, Shades Mountain Baptist Church, Truist Bank and other local businesses, Community Night Out fosters fellowship and provides networking opportunities between first responders and community members, in efforts to promote public safety. Attendees are advised to bring their own chairs or blankets to enjoy this event. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit here.

2. Live After 5

Thursday, Oct. 12 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Vestavia City Center

Come out to the Vestavia City Center for a night of live music, vendors, kids’ activities and more! Musical performances will be by a local, Vestavia Hills-based band, too. For more details here

3. Trunk or Treat

Wednesday, Oct. 25 | 6-7 p.m.
Vestavia Hills Methodist Church

To give families a safe place to celebrate fall festivities, this free Trunk or Treat event pledges family-friendly fun to all who attend. Everyone is invited to dress up and donate candy, too. 4. Halloween in the Heights

Saturday, Oct. 28 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Cahaba Heights

Cahaba Heights businesses will be setting up shop, passing out candy to trick-or-treaters as they shop with their families all day long! Attendees are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and partake in the family fun. The Cahaba Heights Witches Ride is also back this year! Riders will dress up in their best witchy costumes and meet in the New Merkle Community Center. They will ride through Cahaba Heights, throwing candy to kids along the way. The ride will finish in Heights Village, where a fun after party will commence. Find more details here.

5. Haunt the Hills

Saturday, Oct. 28 | 4:30-9 p.m.
Wald Park in Vestavia Hills

The Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Haunt the Hills Trick-or-Trick event will be held on the green space of Wald Park. Festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. and will include a variety of vendor booths passing out candy and promotional information to trick-or-treaters and their families. There will also be inflatables, lawn games, a pumpkin-carving contest and a costume contest, too! The event will conclude with the viewing of Monsters Inc. Stay up to date on this event here.
