HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
We met in college briefly but did not think anything of it. We reconnected again in 2020, thanks to Instagram and the COVID-19 pandemic. He reached out after seeing me on social media play golf with my parents back in Ohio. After much persuasion, I agreed to go on a date.
THE PROPOSAL
He convinced me we needed to take our golden retriever on a walk even though it was freezing cold. When we got back to my house, he stopped in the driveway and got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. After I said yes, I wanted to call my family, not realizing they had secretly made the trip to Birmingham right before the snow storm hit to be with us and celebrate! We spent the rest of the day celebrating with friends and family.
WEDDING DRESS DETAILS
I wanted something simple and something I could stay in for the entire day. My bridal consultant, Kristen, nailed it, and my dress ended up being the second one I tried on. I fell in love with the simplicity and attention to detail. I loved the sheer back and buttons!
WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE
Enjoy the season! It is so easy to get caught up in the little details and let stress steal the joy. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is you and your husband. Don’t sweat the small things.
