4. Market on the Mountain

This is the second of two great consignment sales at churches in Vestavia this fall. For either you can consign some of your kids’ clothes from last year, and you can shop early to call dibs on the best items. Learn more here.

5. Shredding/Recycle Day

Looking for way to recycle your electronics? Bring your old computers, cell phones, gaming systems, stereos and more as well as household hazardous wastes like paint, batteries and lightbulbs by for proper disposal by PROTEC Recycling, Republic Services and Gone for Good. 6. Family Night: Juggler + Unicyclist Tom Foolery

Juggler and unicyclist Tom Rayburn will keep you in stitches with his slapstick physical humor at this library event. The program is open to all ages.

7. Freedom from Addiction Coalition- Mayor’s Community Breakfast

Friday, Sept. 20 | 7:30 a.m. Breakfast, 8 a.m. Program
Canterbury United Methodist Church

Join the mayors of Vestavia Hills, Homewood, Mountain Brook and Hoover for breakfast and a talk on “Vaping: The New Gateway to Drug Addiction” by Dr. Susan Walley. The event is free.

8. Friends of the Library Presents City Manager Jeff Downes

Thursday, Sept. 26 | 10 a.m.
Library in the Forest

Jeff Downes will bring attendees up- to-date on everything happening with new construction in Vestavia Hills and more. Coffee and refreshments start 10 a.m., and the program starts at 10:30. It is open to ages 18 and up.
